  • Missão

The mission of the YWCA National Capital Area is to eliminate racism and empower women and their families with career education and training, health and wellness, and child and youth development programs that foster independence, economic stability, and overall well-being. Our vision is a community that reaches out to those in need, provides opportunities, cultivates healthy lifestyles, challenges social stereotypes, and values diversity and equality.

    Sobre Nós

Founded in 1905, YWCA National Capital Area dismantles barriers faced by women, girls, and people of color as they work to develop and sustain healthy lives. Women and girls come to us in times of transition for job training and career counseling. They come for mission-based skill-building programs for their families. They come in times of crisis as survivors of rape or domestic violence.
