Beam of Hope for the disadvantaged

Beam of Hope for the Disadvantaged (BEHOD) is a registered NGO which started in 2006 as a CBO and later registered as an NGO is 2008 with a registration number S.5914/7571.It has a computer training centre called Beam of Hope Computer Centre which offers computer knowldge freely to the disabled youth aiming at making them self reliant. It also offers carpentry and life skills to the disabled youth. In additon to that, BEHOD has a boarding session where these disabled youth are kept to ease their mobility since most of them come from villages and they cannot afford transport costs to and fromeveryday.BEHOD provides basic needs to these disabled youth such as food, water , electricity, medical services among others all for free. BEHOD also provides education to young children who are disabled and vulunerable.It has a primary school called Beam of Hope Kajjansi Children's Centre.It aims at uplifting them through education since children are the future leaders of tomorrow. At Kajjansi children's Centre, BEHOD provides basic needs to these children such as food, books, pencils, pens, clothes among others and all these are provided to them freely.
