Sobre Nós

Arizona Highways Photo Workshops, formerly called Friends of Arizona Highways, is a non-profit corporation founded in the 1970's as an auxiliary to Arizona Highways magazine. Our mission has been to promote an a ppreciation for the cultural, historic and scenic wonders of Arizona and now other parts of the United States and across the world, as well as to educate participants in photographic technique through the Arizona Highways Photo Workshops. Professional expertise and personal attention have long been hallmarks of our workshops and our main goals are to provide excellent customer service, breathtaking locations, outstanding accommodations and some of the world's best photographers as instructors. Staffed by two full-time employees and a rotating corps of approximately 40 volunteers, we offer over 25 major photo workshops and more than 40, one, two and three day weekend workshops. Since our formal incorporation in 1985, we have given grants to various causes within Arizona Highways Magazine, which essentially promotes tourism to Arizona and have been involved in community outreach programs to benefit students, youth and families through the Arizona Burn Foundation, International Rescue Committee, the Neil and Mary Cissel Friends of Arizona Highways Scholarship Program and various non-profit charities and high schools.
