Environment and Rural Development Foundation

The Environment and Rural Development Foundatuion known from its acronym as ERuDeF is a Cameroonian non profit organization which seeks to protect wildlife and conserve fragile environments in Western Cameroon through research, education, training and community involvement. Some of its projects include; primate conservation with focus on two great ape species; the critically endangered Cross River gorilla (gorilla gorilla diehli) and the Nigeria-Cameroon chimpanzee (P t ellioti), community-based conservation education, socio-economic surveys, community development and agro-forestry.
