SEIU Local 2007

Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 2007 is an affiliate in the Property Services Division of the Service Employees International Union which represents 2 million members in the United States.

SEIU Local 2007 represents more than 1,200 service and technical workers at Stanford and Santa Clara Universities. Our members perform service, maintenance and technical work for the universities, including food services, residential maintenance, craft and trade work, and technical support for research programs. SEIU Local 2007 supports our members and leaders through programs that provide professional development and direction, union education and advocacy, and work place representation.

SEIU Local 2007 is governed by a member-elected Executive Board that meets several times a month. This Board is charged with setting forth a leadership agenda that works to strengthen the local’s effectiveness in solving work place issues with our members, while enhancing our public profile. The Board is responsible for maintaining the fiduciary integrity of our financial systems. We work to generate the respect of service and technical service workers in our community, as well as the public and policy makers, by being a powerful advocate for the working conditions of our members and by enhancing the delivery of quality services.
