UMass Medical School, Massachusetts’ first and only public academic health sciences center, is an award winning public university and one of the leading medical schools in the nation for primary care education. UMass Medical School is also a major center for research, ranking in the top quartile of American medical schools that receive funding from the National Institutes of Health. The Lamar Soutter Library is a vital partner with the medical school and its clinical partner, UMass Memorial Health Care, in supporting research and educational activities. The library is recognized nationally as a leader in services for research data management, research impact, evidence based medicine, and systematic reviews, and oversees the medical school’s archives and institutional repository, eScholarship@UMMS.
