US SCIENCES PO FOUNDATION

The US Sciences Po Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) tax exempt organization, was founded in December 2009, with the aim of pursuing non-profit and educational objectives, including enhancing the reputation and raising interest in and awareness of Sciences Po in the United States. Its goal is to assist Sciences Po in implementing strategies designed to encourage talented students to carry out their studies at Sciences Po. The US Sciences Po Foundation is a central part of the Sciences Po 2013 capital campaign. As part of Sciences Po’s worldwide strategy, the United States effort aims to harness long-term philanthropic support to Sciences Po. Sciences Po must be able to count on the support of private investors convinced of the merits of the changes envisaged for the years to come. The foundation aims at gathering those individual donors to find the resources to achieve Sciences Po’s ambitions and disseminate its educational values in the United States. Sciences Po has set a goal of raising 20 million Euros from alumni. It is hoped that the US campaign will raise 6 millions Euros. Since its official launch, the US Sciences Po Foundation has already gathered $1.9 million, namely 20% of the total objective of the US campaign, including $1.5 million invested in an endowment donated by the Michel David-Weill Foundation. The endowment’s assets are managed by the Board of the US Sciences Po Foundation with help of Meeschaert Asset Management.
