    The National Girls Health and Justice Institute (NGHJI) is a California non-profit based in Los Angeles, California, and working in collaboration with the Los Angeles County Departments of Health Services, Mental Health, and Probation. Our mission is to measurably improve the physical and mental health and wellness of girls in the juvenile justice system; to decrease rates of future re-offending and violent offending among girls; and to assist in the development of a seamless continuum of physical and mental health services that will transcend institutional walls as young women are released from the juvenile justice system and re-enter their home communities.
