Foundation for Rehabilitation & Development of Children and Family (FORDEC)

Founded in 1998 by a former street orphan, the Foundation for Rehabilitation & Development of Children and Family (FORDEC) is one of the main Thai charitable organization in the education and social development sectors.The NGO is dedicated to help, especially in Bangkok, underprivileged children and disadvantaged families regardless of race or religion. FORDEC provides material and moral support in its centers or through its different activities and programs. All this in the aim of improving the conditions of living of the needy, with integrity, dedication and love.Thanks to 9 annual programs, continuous activities in its Daycare Center (situated in Samuthprakan, Thailand) and a lot of sponsors, approximately 1400 children (from kindergarten to university) benefit from the organisation every year. Several families also benefit from FORDEC's actions in housing and development issues. As one of the biggest and most efficient national charitable organization in Thailand in the education and social development area FORDEC has been awarded several times by the Thai government and the Rockefeller Foundation. The motto of the the organization is "One's Love and Concern to All distressed".
