Sobre Nós

Oregonians for Water, Parks and Wildlife is sponsoring a statewide ballot initiative to renew the Parks and Natural Resources Fund created by Oregon voters in 1998.

Oregonians for Water, Parks and Wildlife was created by a coalition of organizations including The Nature Conservancy, The Trust for Public Land, Defenders of Wildlife and Trout Unlimitedto place this initiative on the November 2010 ballot. The campaign will be filing its signatures with the Secretary of State before July 2, 2010 to qualify for the November ballot.

The 2010 campaign for our water, parks and wildlife seeks to renew the Parks and Natural Resources Fund created by Oregon voters in 1998. Money from the fund, which receives 15% of State Lottery proceeds, has been used to revitalize the state parks system, restore habitat for fish and wildlife, and improve watershed health across Oregon. These investments have pumped up to $100 million per year into parks and conservation efforts statewide. Without another vote of the people, the funding will expire in 2014.
