RDBO takes a unique approach in which we both represent disabled refugees and advocate on their behalf. Our attorneys work closely with health care providers, case managers and counselors, as well as the refugees they serve, to ensure that disabled refugees’ cases are presented competently and compassionately at every step of the disability process, beginning with insuring strong initial applications. We partner with many refugee service organizations to represent their refugee clients. Our mission also encompasses advocacy on behalf of disabled refugees and their families with state and federal agencies and in the Oregon Legislature and Congress.
