Kid C.A.T.

Kid C.A.T. is an organization committed to transforming lives and communities by addressing the roots of harm and disconnection. We work with current and formerly incarcerated individuals, focusing on healing childhood trauma, taking accountability for past choices, and fostering "right relationships" with themselves and others.

Together, we’re creating a legacy of accountability, healing, and hope, because every person deserves the chance to rewrite their story.

Kid C.A.T. is a San Luis Obispo County–based nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals impacted by incarceration since their youth. Through restorative justice programming, reentry support, and mental health resources, we work to create pathways for healing, accountability, and lasting change.

On January 1, 2026, Kid C.A.T. opened its Community Healing Space in Los Osos, CA; an intentional place where people can gather, heal, and grow together. The space hosts restorative justice circles, peer support groups, mentoring programs, and community workshops that focus on emotional wellness, conflict resolution, and life skills. It also serves as a safe and welcoming environment for individuals returning from incarceration, their families, and community members to connect, rebuild relationships, and access resources that support successful reentry.

Through collaboration, compassion, and community engagement, Kid C.A.T. works to reduce cycles of harm and create stronger, more connected communities across San Luis Obispo County.
