Growing up on a family farm, Dr. Kermit Jones learned that hard work was the key to a better life. Kermit went on to become a doctor and after 9/11, he answered the call of service and became a Navy flight surgeon in Iraq. Kermit was later chosen by President Obama to be a White House Fellow for veterans’ health care and innovation. Now he is running for Congress in California's newly redrawn Third Congressional District. California’s Third Congressional District is one of the most competitive open seats for Democrats to pick up. CA-03 would have been the second-most competitive district in California at the presidential level in 2020 had the new lines been in effect then.
