Sobre Nós

The Church of Saint Mary the Virgin is a parish in the Episcopal Diocese of New York. Located just off Times Square, Saint Mary’s was founded in 1868 to be the local parish for a residential neighborhood then known as “Longacre Square.” Today, the parish community is a diverse and inclusive group of Episcopalians and other Christians encompassing local members, members whose parish homes are elsewhere, persons in transition and those who live across the country and the world. The parish is the steward of a remarkable heritage of urban liturgical Christianity. The church’s doors are open seven days a week, every day of the year, for worship and prayer.
