LakewoodAlive is a 501(C)3 economic<img height="10" width="10"> development corporation that seeks to strengthen the local economy and improve Lakewood's quality of life. LakewoodAlive administers the National Main Street Program™ in the revitalization of Downtown Lakewood, which has generated more than $20 million in investment and over 20 new businesses<img height="10" width="10"> since 2007. While the Downtown District is the primary focus, the organization also seeks to further strengthen the economic stability throughout the entire community. Additionally, the organization operates a citywide housing outreach program that connects low- to moderate-income residents with resources to improve the condition of their homes. Lastly, LakewoodAlive strives to conduct community engagement meetings to discuss economic issues of the day with residents, merchants, and stakeholders.
