Thistle Hills, Inc.

Our mission at Thistle Hills is to serve women from the Chester County and Coatesville, Pennsylvania areas who are survivors of human trafficking, prostitution and addiction that deserve a second chance at life. Thistle Hills is a community based program, and provides a twelve to twenty-four month residential program at no cost, to transform the lives of women who have been trafficked and suffer from addiction. Our program is being structured similar to Thistle Farms Magdalene House which is located in Nashville, Tennessee. Thistle Farms has been operating their program successfully for over 20 years.

We will offer the following services to our residents:

·        Housing

·        Educational and paid vocational opportunities

·        Referral and support for addiction recovery, mental and physical health treatment

·        Transportation to health care appointments, meetings, jobs and other activities related to the program

·        Legal support intervention for any criminal charges, probation, parole, custody matters, expungements

·        Group sessions for addiction recovery, mental health

·        Housing and Security Deposit Assistance upon transition into independent living

·        Healthcare and prescription medication

·        Life skills, i.e. food preparation, budgeting, critical thinking, anger management, money management   

·        Matched Savings Plan for income and asset development to encourage savings and provide economic independence
