Food Runners mission is to stop hunger and alleviate waste in San Francisco. Over 160,00 people go hungry every day in San Francisco. Food Runners volunteers pick up excess food from businesses, hotels, restaurants, grocery stores, caterers and more for the purpose of delivering it to local shelters and food programs in need. Food Runners picks up and delivers over 10 tons of food per week. Food Runners is a free service.
