Business Call to Action

The Business Call to Action (BCtA) – www.businesscalltoaction.org – is a joint initiative of the UK Department for International Development (DFID), the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID), the US Agency for International Development, the Netherlands Foreign Ministry, Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the UN Global Compact (UNGC), the International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF) and the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI).

The goal of the BCtA is to accelerate progress towards the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by encouraging companies to develop and expand innovative business models that can achieve both commercial success and development outcomes. The Partnership aims to develop the BCtA into a globally recognized, respected and a quality-driven platform for companies to significantly increase the delivery of development and poverty-reduction benefits resulting from pro-poor inclusive business models in developing countries.
