Arcadia Center for Sustainable Food and Agriculture

Arcadia is a non-profit organization serving the Washington, DC area. We raise awareness about healthy food and its sources, and establish innovative connections between sustainable local farms and consumers.

Our mission is to create a more equitable and sustainable local food system which will improve the health of our community, the viability of local farmers, and preserve our environment for future generations.

Our four key program areas are distinct yet interrelated. Each addresses a specific need in the community, while collectively engaging consumers, farmers, schools and institutions alike.

Educational Farm

connects schools with healthy, local food for school meals and provides hands-on food & farm education

Mobile Market

delivers fresh, affordable food to underserved D.C. area neighborhoods

aggregates and distributes local products from small-scale, sustainable farms
