National Association for Multicultural Education

NAME promotes multicultural education and equity for all, regardless of culture, race, ethnicity, race, class, language, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or religion. NAME believes that full and fair participation in our society's institutions is paramount as both the means and the goal. NAME is committed to helping develop schools and communities dedicated to inclusion and embracing the basic tenets of cultural pluralism. Our work helps dismantle individual and institutional racism, classim, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, and all forms of bias and prejudice that are inconsistent with principles of democracy and social justice. Membership is open to everyone who supports multicultural education, diversity and equity, across preK-12, higher education, and throughout our communities.
