The Continental Divide Land Trust (CDLT) is a local non-profit organization dedicated to preserving unique open space values on private and public lands. The CDLT was established by concerned citizens who felt that rapid growth was diminishing quality of life in Summit County, Colorado. Utilizing innovative methods of open space conservation, the group is united in an effort to positively shape future land development
As a land trust, the CDLT provides a viable alternative to government regulation. The CDLT works cooperatively with willing land owners to ensure that the natural beauty of their land will remain intact for future generations. The CDLT will accomplish its mission primarily through land stewardship and educational activities. CDLT is working to ensure that growth does not alter the Central Rockie's scenic beauty and rural mountain character.
