United Way of Erie County is a local social impact organization focused on breaking the cycle of poverty in our region. We envision a collaborative community where all students succeed.

United Way of Erie County (UWEC) is a local independent legal entity doing business in Erie County for the residents of Erie County. UWEC is governed by a local Board of Directors. The mission and work are driven locally with the goal of improving the community we all live in.

When you support UWEC, you are supporting the mission to crush poverty in Erie County. In partnership, we are leveling the playing field for low-income students and their families. Economically disadvantaged children face many barriers to learning and success in school...and ultimately in life. Together, with your help, we are breaking through these barriers, setting children and their families up for success.
