The College of American Pathologists Foundation

The mission of the College of American Pathologists Foundation (CAP Foundation) is to champion patient-centered and humanitarian roles for pathologists. Pathologists are the doctors who diagnose diseases like cancer, making it possible for patients to get the right treatment at the right time. The Foundation strives to connect people, especially those in need, to the specialized, life-saving skills of pathologists; with a vision that people are healthier because of excellence in the practice of pathology and laboratory medicine. Created in 1963, the CAP Foundation serves as the philanthropic arm of the College of American Pathologists, which supports patient centered and humanitarian initiatives in underserved communities. The CAP Foundation’s flagship, See, Test & Treat® program delivers free breast and cervical cancer screening with same-day results to women facing health disparities and/or socioeconomic, linguistic, and cultural barriers to health care.
