To strengthen the state's Community Economic Development efforts through: Building a stronger network of and support system for NC CED organizations and initiatives; Helping to create a level playing field for CED efforts alongside of more traditional ED enterprises and initiatives; and Ensuring that businesses, farms, and ranches of color are at the table in NC CED initiatives such that those individual, as well as organizational/institutional, stakeholders have an equitable opportunity to access and employ available resources for CED.
