To empower low-income individuals and families in the areas of education, culture, arts, and folklore in the State of Connecticut.
The Dominican American Coalition of Connecticut (DACCT) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Bridgeport, Connecticut, dedicated to empowering Latino and immigrant communities across the state. Founded to celebrate Dominican heritage and strengthen community bonds, DACCT has grown into a diverse network that promotes education, civic engagement, cultural pride, and social well-being.
Our organization serves families, youth, and adults from all backgrounds—especially low-income and newly arrived immigrants—through programs that include citizenship and ESL classes, cultural events, leadership training, and community resource fairs.
At DACCT, we believe in inclusion, respect, and collective progress. Our values are rooted in education, service, integrity, and unity. We work hand in hand with partner organizations, schools, and city agencies to create opportunities that uplift our community, preserve our culture, and inspire the next generation of leaders.
