The Eric D. and Steven D. Hovde Foundation

The Eric D. Hovde and Steven D. Hovde Foundation ("The Hovde Foundation") was founded in 1998 to support two central missions – clinical research to find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis and charitable relief for those in desperate need. The Hovde Foundation's primary initiative is funding "Hovde Houses", group homes that provide shelter, supportive services, education and love to vulnerable children. The Hovde Foundation has established Hovde Houses in Mexico City; Huanuco, Peru; Winneba, Ghana; Kigali, Rwanda; Mombasa, Kenya; and Xela, Guatemala.  All of them are managed by local organizations in each country. The Hovde Foundation also funded an 16-unit apartment building (complete with case managers and support services) for formerly homeless families in Madison, Wisconsin.  Our goal is to add one new Hovde House project per year.
