Raymond A. Wood Foundation (RAWF) was incorporated in December 2016 and is a 501(c)3) nonprofit organization with a goal to support survivors of childhood brain tumors and their families by providing a means to get devices, research, or therapies that may help with ongoing chronic conditions that result from brain tumor treatment. The foundation is named for Alex Wood, a childhood brain tumor survivor. Today the foundation has evolved into seeking solutions for survivors of these tumor types - both children and adults.
The foundation offers a variety of services to survivors of childhood brain tumors and their families, including free monthly support groups, research and opportunities for clinical trials, a patient registry that will support ongoing research, and an in-person community conference.
