Institute for Women's Excellence

The Institute for Women's Excellence is a national foundation that drives the advancement of women in the areas of social and political justice, economic and educational advancement, and academic, political, or social research. The Institute accomplishes this through philanthropic support regardless of financial need. The goal of the Institute for Women's Excellence is to assist women to overcome the barriers they face because of disparities and injustices.

The organization strives to break barriers and bring exposure. The Institute breaks barriers that hinder women facing disparities who have vision to advance themselves in the five focus areas of the Institute. The Institute accomplishes this by bringing together a community of philanthropists with the resources to pave a way for them to excel in their endeavors. The Institute also supports excellence by bringing exposure to the initiatives that exist in our community. Barriers often exist because there isn’t enough visibility for women achievements. Through its programming, the Institute exposes its participants, recipients, and philanthropists to others who are excelling in their respective fields to promote advancement.

Mission:

The mission of The Institute for Women’s Excellence to bring women of color to standards of excellence in the fields of social justice, political engagement, economic development, health promotion, and educational advancement.

Vision:

The vision of The Institute for Women’s Excellence is that social, racial, political, economic, and educational barriers be eradicated for women of all ethnicities.
