Cantare’s mission is to foster a diverse community of compassion and understanding across generational, cultural and economic boundaries through the beauty and power of choral music. Our vision is all encompassing and is reflected in the music selected and performed, and in our efforts to engage audiences through the power of music presented at the highest musical standards.
Sobre Nós
Cantare Con Vivo (To Sing With Life) is an inter-generational non-profit choral music organization based in Oakland. We provide tuition-free choral music residencies to Title 1 (under-served) K-12 children in the Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) serving approximately 2,200 students through 74 classes weekly and 6 after-school choirs. We have served more than 12,000 children through our music programs.
