The Atlantic Salmon Federation is dedicated to the conservation, protection and restoration of wild Atlantic salmon and the ecosystems on which their wellbeing and survival depends. Through our Maine Headwaters Project, we work collaboratively with willing dam owners and local communities to come up with solutions that not only address the fisheries but also address community needs. Our work is focused on improving the health of the salmon watersheds through scientific research, targeted advocacy campaigns, regulatory work and in the United States, direct involvement in restoration projects that address the legacy of barriers in Maine rivers.
