Telegraph Hill Cooperative Nursery School

Tel Hi Cooperative is a small, intimate, fun preschool in the heart of North Beach that was founded in 1954 to provide a healthy, safe, and stimulating environment in which children can develop socially, physically, emotionally, and cognitively. A cooperative school is a nonprofit, nonsectarian, democratic organization where each family participates in the planning, fundraising and operation of the school. Parents participate in the daily program by serving as assistants to a professional preschool director and teacher. The efforts of the parents and their direct involvement during the school day make parent participation schools a unique educational endeavor.
