California Association of Private Special Education Schools

CAPSES is comprised of nonpublic schools, agencies, organizations, and individuals who specialize in the delivery of private special education school services. CAPSES’ primary mission is to promote the delivery of quality special education instruction and related services in both private and public education sectors.

CAPSES is dedicated to preserving and enhancing the leadership role of the private sector in offering quality alternative services to students with disabilities. By providing the highest quality instruction, therapy, guidance and advocacy to their clients, CAPSES members strive to help special education students maximize their potential to lead independent and dignified lives. We are able to build that potential by working together to ensure that appropriate services to all eligible students and their families are consistently provided. .
