Nada India Foundation- Towards wellbeing

Nada India is a non-profit NGO and registered under Indian Charitable Trust Act. MISSION To establish and mobilize a network of community based services to empower and develop leadership among marginalized and vulnerable populations, especially adolescents and women, through the promotion of education, employment, supportive services, and healthy living. Nada India upholds the public service approach to the amelioration of the social plague of addiction, HIV/AIDS, stress and trauma. Nada India supports the practice of auricular acupuncture for detoxification, relapse prevention, stress and trauma reduction, and recovery as an adjacent to other treatment modalities available to all communities irrespective of caste, creed and religion. Nada India is presently involved in education and training for the use of specific auricular acupuncture protocol in addiction treatment and enhancing the quality of life. Acu- recovery involves the gentle placement of three small sterilized disposable needles in to specific sites on each ear. The recipients sit quietly for 45 minutes in a group setting. Nada India has trained staff for and assisted with the implementation of Acu-recovery centers. It is currently involved in documentation of Acu-recovery protocol in social services in India. It is an affiliate of NADA International. Nada India also offers training program in communication skills. Campaign planning and use of media and interactive/community radio and television.
