First Trinity & St. Matthew Congregations

First Trinity & St. Matthew Lutheran Churches are two congregations in downtown Washington, DC. We have shared worship, ministry, and mission at the First Trinity building in Judiciary Square for the past decade, and are about to embark on a new venture together as we open a ministry location in Southwest DC. We seek to continue together in mission, now in two locations. We value hospitality, proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, being sent to participate in God’s mission, and building and maintaining relationships with each other and our neighbors. We are racially, ethnically, and economically diverse, and welcome people of all gender identities and sexual orientations as we seek to serve our neighbors in Christ’s name.
