Macalester College

Macalester College is a privately supported co-educational liberal arts college. It was founded in 1874 as a Presbyterian-related but non-sectarian college; its first class entered Sept 15, 1885.

Macalester provides an undergraduate education of uncompromising quality, characterized by four historic values: Academic excellence; International perspectives in academic work and the life of the college; a diverse academic community and service as an integral part of learning and life.

Macalester College is located in an historic residential neighborhood approximately seven miles from downtown Minneapolis and four miles from downtown St. Paul
