  • Sobre Nós

The Graduate Center for Jewish Education at American Jewish University prepares educators to create and implement a compelling vision for the future of Jewish education.

    We are characterized by our:

v Dedication to training visionary, thoughtful, inventive educators for all sectors of the field of Jewish education

v Trans-denominational and warmly pluralistic environment, serving the full spectrum of the Jewish community from secular, to unaffiliated, to Reform to Orthodox

v Success in translating the best practices and cutting edge theory from general education to the Jewish community

v Commitment to innovatively transforming Jewish learning into Jewish living through experiential education

v Mentorship of students by leading innovators in the field

AJU's Familian and Brandeis-Bardin campuses provide a natural laboratory for innovation, experimentation and integration of experiential and traditional education. The Graduate Center for Education is home to the Fingerhut School of Education, which offers two masters degree programs: a Master of Arts in Education and a Master of Arts in Teaching for Working Professionals. The Graduate Center also houses numerous professional development initiatives to engage alumni and improve local schools.
