UCLA Semel Institute - Office of Education

The Semel Institute for Neuroscience is training the next generation of physicians and scientists who will bring their abilities to bear throughout California, the United States, and around the world. Semel Institute trainees come from the the nation's top medical schools, colleges, and universities. Training is available from experts in the fields of psychiatry, psychology, neurobiology, neurology, neurosurgery, pediatrics, pharmacology, pathology, human culture, public policy, and human genetics. The Institute fosters collaborative research and education across departments at UCLA. The Semel Institute does not grant degrees itself, so our trainees enroll in a program within a particular department or in an interdepartmental program at the David Geffen School of Medicine and the other academic units of UCLA.
