It's about kids! The average age of a USSA athlete is 12 years old. Every medalist shares one trait in common – he/she started skiing or snowboarding as a young boy or girl. The USSA network of more than 400 clubs around the country provides support to more than 30,000 young skiers, snowboarders, coaches, and officials along that journey. In the truest spirit of idealism, local volunteers all over the US donate a quarter-million hours a year helping kids on the road to achieving their dreams through USSA programs and competitions.
