Ocean Spirits Incorporated are a non-profit, NGO dedicated to the conservation of marine life and the marine environment in Grenada. The organisation began in November 1997 and has now evolved to one where Ocean Spirits sees its role as "assisting Grenada in designing and implementing strategies to ensure the future sustainability of its rich marine and coastal resources". Through our three core programs: Education, Research and Conservation and Community Development we are working to change attitudes towards the sustainable use of resources. Most of our work is focused on sea turtles, and it is through this species that we are able to raise a wider awareness of the environment. We believe that through working with local communities to discover sustainable alternatives the future of Grenada's turtle populations may be secured
