Grace Place for Children and Families

Since 2004, Grace Place has become the educational touchstone for the Golden Gate community. With over 1,000 students enrolled in our educational programs, we continue to grow in our mission to provide pathways out of poverty by educating children and families.

Grace Place programs strive to end the inter-generational transfer of poverty through a comprehensive, holistic approach to family literacy to reduce school drop-outs and improve household wages to eliminate poverty. Eighty-eight percent of students attending Golden Gate city schools live in households with incomes below $34,000. Grace Place students range in age from birth to 74 years old.
