Brooklyn Latin School

The Brooklyn Latin School, a replication of the prestigious Boston Latin School, is one of New York City’s eight specialized (i.e. exam) high schools. Offering a classical, college preparatory education, The Brooklyn Latin School will accept its third incoming class of students in the fall of 2008. We are presently seeking results-oriented teaching candidates who exhibit strong leadership and through content knowledge.

The Brooklyn Latin School offers a classical liberal arts education, including the study of Latin and Greek, in a disciplined academic environment. According to the liberal arts tradition, our students acquire expertise in the diverse fields of academia, from physics to Latin literature. Such expertise puts students in touch with the foundational principles of our society, while developing the leadership capacity of our students so that they may serve as leaders in their communities.
