Kama’aina Kids is a non-profit that has been providing educational and enrichment programs for young children and their families since 1987. Our mission statement is to serve children, families and our communities by providing ongoing quality education and enrichment programs to help build a sense of Self, Community and Environment. The company has been voted Hawaii’s Best for numerous years by the independent reader’s survey in the Star Bulletin. The Company is headquartered in Kailua, HI, where it operates the corporate office and training center. Thirty four of our sites are on neighbor islands and the rest are throughout Oahu. We run A+ after school programs, preschools, hotel day care programs, and Camp Timberline, an enviromental camp. In addition, we manage beautiful He’eia State Park where we provide opprotunites for visitors, Hawaii's youth, and community members to explore Kaneohe Bay's natural beauty while learning about it's unique environment. The company employee base is a little over 1,000 employees, making Kama’aina Kids the largest private child care provider in the state of Hawaii. We serve approximately 9,500 children on a daily basis who range from 2 months to 18 years old. We have approximately 25-30 full time volunteer interns a year.
