Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County in Delaware is an independently chartered affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. Our vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Our mission is seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.

Here in New Castle County, Habitat NCC is committed to changing lives and landscapes by revitalizing neighborhoods and empowering the families we serve.

We build affordable housing, providing 0% interest mortgages to the hard-working qualified homeowners in our program.

We perform and coordinate critical home repairs for low-income homeowners, ensuring that they are safe, warm, and dry.

We partner with residents and stakeholders to revitalize neighborhoods and eliminate blight through neighborhood clean-ups and beautification projects.

We empower homeowners, residents and volunteers to make lasting change in the neighborhoods we serve through education, training and advocacy.

Since 1986, Habitat NCC has built more than 280 homes and ranks among the top three Habitat northeast affiliates of 210 affiliates (from Delaware to Maine) in terms of housing production. Throughout our 36-year history, we have served more than 1,000 New Castle County families.
