ABOUT AEGIS

AEGIS is an international non-profit organization. We develop initiatives that allow us to tackle philanthropic challenges in a holistic way. Through multidisciplinary approaches, we empower activists, independent initiatives and NGOs by providing them with what they need to succeed in their mission.

VISION

We believe in a future where doing the right thing for our world is easy and instinctive. We believe in eradicating unnecessary obstacles from people’s way, so that our global desire for cooperation, creativity and faith in others is nourished every day.

We do what we can in order to nurture hope in our future. And we do this by empowering the change-makers around us.

MISSION

Our mission is to develop the legal structures and the practical tools needed by activist groups and non-profit initiatives.

Our belief is that creating change in our world is hard enough. The people and organizations driving positive progress in our societies should not have to also deal with things like tedious legal and bureaucratic responsibilities, marketing strategies or knowledge of the latest management tools and technologies. We believe that by allowing causes to center the work they do rather than their legal status, we manage to avoid a tremendous waste of resources and time.

We focus on developing open networks for the incubation and legal protection of causes, so that activist groups may operate with the same advantages as those offered to non-profit organizations without carrying most of the administrative burdens that come with a legal entity. We support and help develop philanthropic projects and initiatives until they actually want to or are ready to become independent organizations.

We do this in various ways, through the AEGIS ecosystem of projects, initiatives and affiliates.
