Lift Up Carolinas

Lift Up Carolinas is a nonprofit organization that puts caring & commitment into action through community-based philanthropic programs. Programs are designed to address the issue of upward mobility by providing children an opportunity to succeed. Funds raised are returned to the community through philanthropic programs: Check Hunger, Gear Up Carolinas, Mecklenburg County Teen Court, and Lift Up Carolinas Scholarship Fund. Gear Up Carolinas provides new clothing for children in need in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. The program's goal is to enhance self-esteem, promote learning and encourage regular school attendance. Check Hunger feeds at-risk school children. Mecklenburg County Teen Court is an alternative justice system for juveniles. This juvenile-based justice system places emphasis on accountability, positive peer influence, and youth empowerment. Scholarship funds college scholarships to Mecklenburg County graduating high school seniors. Community Scholarships are also awarded to children to enrich their lives with music lessons, art classes and group performances through Arts+, YMCA Day Camp and provides scholarships to the Community Culinary School of Charlotte.
