Winegard Elementary School - Together for Tomorrow program

At Winegard Elementary, we work with Schools and Communities: Together for Tomorrow, a special initiative of the U.S. Department of Education, the White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Partnerships, and the Corporation for National and Community Service, which seeks to support Title I public schools through volunteerism.

Here at Winegard, 87% of students receive free or reduced lunch, and many of our students struggle with family issues, language barriers, and housing issues. One of the most proven ways of helping a child succeed in life and academically is to provide him or her with a positive adult role model. As a mentor, tutor or classroom assistant, you have the ability to change the trajectory of a child's life--and be changed.
