Sobre Nós

The Georgetown Trust for Conservation and Preservation Inc. is a Colorado non-profit, IRS 501(c)(3) corporation. The Trust was established in 2003 to promote the preservation and interpretation of the cultural and natural assets of the Georgetown-Silver Plume National Historic Landmark District (NHL). The NHL is recognized nationally as a premier site for the interpretation of the 19th century Rocky Mountain silver mining boom. The Trust has forwarded that interpretation first through the construction, maintenance and operation of the Georgetown Gateway Visitor Center and most recently with the acquisition and restoration of the 1874 Schoolhouse. When renovation is complete, in the fall of 2015, the Schoolhouse will be the Georgetown Heritage Center, home to the Cultural Arts Program  (CAP) as well as a local history archive operated by the Clear Creek County Library District.
