A BroaderWay Foundation

A BroaderWay Foundation (ABW) is a youth development organization that utilizes performing and visual arts education as a conduit to self-expression and empowerment in girls from urban communities. A core part of ABW’s programming is Camp BroaderWay, a ten-day residential summer camp experience. When girls join ABW at age 10/11 (rising 6th graders), they commit to four seasons of Camp BroaderWay as well as the interim school year programming that delivers ABW curriculum and experiences throughout the school year. Graduates of the ABW program then enter an ongoing supportive network called “Connections”, enabling them to leverage the ABW contacts and programs and enabling ABW to ensure continued development and tracking of the participants. As ABW heads into its 7th season, we are ready to build upon our success and enter into the next phase of organizational development.
