LEAD with Horses

Mission: To improve the social, emotional, physical, and behavioral development of children, youth, and adults in Northern Nevada through high quality equine assisted services delivered in a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment.

LEAD’S core belief is that lives can be bettered through meaningful interactions with horses. Combining proven educational and therapeutic approaches with the powerful modality of horses, supports, encourages, and empowers individuals of all abilities. Our philosophy is toprovide person-centered and trauma-informed programming to meet the goals of everyindividual participating in the program. Our unique programs are able to meet intersecting physical, emotional, psychological, and social challenges.

LEAD is the only organization in Nevada that provides three equine assisted centers: Adaptive Riding, Equine Assisted Counseling, and Equine Assisted Youth Development. Each Center provides a range of programming and is led by experienced professionals certified and licensed in their respective fields.
