Cowan Heights United Church

Cowan Heights United Church is a vibrant, growing, and inclusive community of faith located in St. John’s, NL. We believe in ensuring we are inclusive of people of all ages, gender identities, ethnic origins, social status, abilities, and sexual orientations as we live out the teachings of Jesus Christ.

We gather to celebrate our joys, support one another in difficulties, hear God’s word for us today, pray for the world and those we love, and share together at Christ’s table of welcome.

Cowan Heights United Church (CHUC) is a not-for-profit organization and a congregation of The United Church of Canada established in 1981. The church is a growing congregation comprised of over 300 members who seek to be engaged in the community, outreach-focused, and experiential in living out their faith. Cowan Heights United Church believes in the values of diversity, equity, and inclusivity for people of all ages, gender identities, ethnic origins, social statuses, abilities, and sexual orientations.
